"My First Brittos" is a print of one of Romero's first abstract paintings, where he used his signature to create an abstract play of colors, shapes, and direction. The Britto signature has become a brand or logo, and this print showcases its inception. Romero initially drew his signature, now known as BTOS, on an Absolut bottle for a client. In an effort to perfect it, he repeated the signature, eventually covering the entire bottle. This marked the first time an artist used their signature as a pattern in art.
